One finished 14 inch panel saw with 2.75 inch hand size handle for my oldest Son who is 4. This is about an inch smaller as a regular saw handle. The blade is a cut down and taper ground old S & J blade. Happy sawing Thomas!

Two detailed Liogier Carving Rifflers have arrived and they are lovely to use. They are small double ended fine rasps, handmade in France. I use them to round shapes and carve details.

An old Jackson 16″ 8 PPI panel saw, made by Disston. It’s plate is rather thick and untapered but it has a nice etch. It is cleaned and the etch was raised with some gun blue.

The upper left is what Henry Disston designed and the upper right is when its dressed up in British early 1800’s clothes 😉 . The lower left is what it could have looked like if Henry would have stayed in Tewkesbury Britain instead of emigrating to Philadelphia.

Some logs have been sawn and riven with the froe and mallet. Then flattened with axe. They will be dry in 24 months!
