You may have seen the Spear and Jackson Traditional Resharpenable series (9500R and 9515K). They are very good value. The steel and filing are good, so it is worth it to upgrade with a better handle.

This handle will greatly improve your sawing experience by giving you a comfortable snug fit. A good fit of the handle to your hand increases the feedback you get from the wood and as a result makes sawing straight easier.
Which size handle fits my hand? Click here to measure your hand. For now there will be two sizes available. Size M (regular) and size S.
Note: It will fit the blade directly using the supplied nuts and bolts with some minor adjustments. The holes in the blade are sized to the smaller diameter rivets used. These can be easily filed to fit with a round chainsaw file.
Secondly, due to differences between batches of saw blades, the holes may be slightly differently positioned. Again this can be made to fit by adjusting the position of the hole with the round chainsaw file. If the handle doesn’t quite reach the holes, the blade can be made a mm shorter at the back with a flat file to accommodate this. More on this in the articles on how to make a handle.
