Description
Henry Disston D8 18″ Panel Saw
This Henry Disston D8 was made between 1917 and 1928 with a super thin plate. It has not been used much, it is still a full plate in the fairly rare size of 18″.
The plate has been cleaned by hand,, straightened and flattened (which is one of the last steps before leaving the factory when it was checked over). The handle is cleaned and refinished with shellac. A fully taper ground skewback high quality spring steel saw with an Apple handle.
The 18″ size with a let-in handle translates to roughly a 16″ saw with a normal handle like the no.7. Great for sawing at the bench.
Handle size Medium, 3 3/4″ across the palm
The teeth are 10 points per inch and will be sharpened Crosscut, Hybrid or Rip to suit your needs.
