A very nice 24″ Disston D8 made with a blade from a good 26″ 1917-1928 D8. The handle is from a 1940-1953 panel D8 and has been refinished and reshaped a little to fit the timeframe of the blade. It’s quite a nice fruitwood. The brass nuts match the blade’s age.
The blade is 0.038″ (0.93 mm) thick and well taper ground, it’s straight and the etch is almost complete. It has 8 points per inch and will be filed to your preference, rip, crosscut , for hardwoods, softwoods or for both.
